On 24 December 1999 - DBKL opened Slip Road 6, connecting the Kuala Lumpur - Seremban Highway at the Esso - Shell stations to the Besraya Highway before the Jalan Kuchai Lama Interchange (Exit 907).  The purpose of the slip road is to help disperse traffic congestion along the Kuala Lumpur - Seremban Highway. This is especially common during morning peak hours where traffic congestion commonly extends from Jalan Tun Razak all the way to Sri Petaling Interchange.

Therefore motorist can take the slip road down to the Besraya Highway (as depicted above) and enter Kuala Lumpur and Petaling Jaya via the Istana Interchange. For further details on avoiding the traffic congestion at Sri Petaling and the TUDM Airbase please refer to our FAQ Section.
