Bandar Tasik
Selatan, Bandar Tun Razak
and Pekan Sg Besi are the main commercial areas served by this
interchange. This interchange also provides access to Cheras and the
MRR2. By following the MRR2, this will lead you to other key
destinations like east of the Klang Valley, such as Kuantan and even Genting
Highlands.
The Pekan Sg. Besi Interchange is also
an important entry point into the Besraya Highway. Here road
users from Cheras and Ampang can exit from the MRR2 onto the Besraya
Highway and travel southbound towards the University Putra Malaysia
(UPM) and continue on to Seremban and Singapore.
The Sg. Besi LRT (Light Rail Transit)
Station is also located a short distance from this interchange. Here
users who wish to drive into the city centre can park their vehicles
here and take a train into the city. This is also a good place to park
and take a train to the Bukit Jalil Stadium when going for sport events
and concerts.
