Located between the Selangor Turf Club Interchange and UPM Interchange, the Balakong junction is one of the most heavily traveled on the Besraya Highway. The reason for this is that its location contains numerous places of interests. The Mines Exhibition Centre, Mines Shopping Fair, and Mines Resort are all located within walking distance.

　

The Balakong Interchange also accesses various industrial and housing areas by connecting you to Kajang, Jalan Cheras and Semenyih via the Lebuhraya Lingkaran Kajang (SILK)
