Besraya
(M) Sdn Bhd, a subsidiary of
IJM Corporation Berhad,
designs, constructs, operates and maintains the Besraya Highway,
which extends from the University
Putra Malaysia (UPM) Interchange all the way to Istana Interchange. The concession granted by the
government permits Besraya to collect toll from vehicles
utilizing the highway over the concession period.

Besraya
has 2 toll plazas - Mines and Salak Jaya. On 14th
January 1999, Besraya commenced tolling at the Mines Toll
Plaza. Subsequently the Salak Jaya Toll Plaza commenced toll
activities on the 15th of May 1999 providing improved access
from the City center southbound towards UPM, Putrajaya and Seremban.
This provided an accessible corridor for road users to reach landmarks
such as the Selangor Turf Club, The Palace of Golden Horses, Mines
Wonderland, Mines Shopping Center and South City Plaza.

Other
linkages to major roads includes providing an alternative route for
traffic heading north to get to destinations such as Kuala Lumpur City
Center, Petaling Jaya and also to Kuantan, Ampang and Cheras.
